Learn the letters z,i,p. For z see
steps 7 and 8.
Draw the i with the downstroke first and
then the dot. Draw the p as "down‑up-and‑around"
with the bubble sitting on the line.
Have the pupil practice writing the letters z,
i, and p, first, using the dot to dot guide above, then on lined paper.
Add the three letters to the alphabet, and let the
pupil make up new words, by listening to sounds: tip dig fig pig cap pod (pea‑pod)
pat pot top fit pit.
Get the pupil to sound the sounds of the words tip
dig fig pig cap pod (pea‑pod) pat pot top fit pit.
Play pairs, and the dice game, letting the pupil sound
out more and more letters each day.
