A W is rather like two v's and the
French call it double‑v! You can see lots of W on the pavement,
where the lid of the water‑stop‑cock is marked 'WATER'.
Learn the letters w and e.
Have the pupil practice writing the letters w,
and e, first, using the dot to dot guide above, then on lined
paper.
Set out the alphabet card, and add w and e,
making 15 letters ‑ past half‑way. Make new words, by listening to
sounds net vet get pet den ten
Get the pupil to sound the sounds of the new
words.
