Step 95: Silent letters.
Some letters are silent, but this is not as
difficult as you may think, because k and g (which are a pair, voiced, unvoiced,
when sounded) go silent before n. W is silent before r at the beginning. and in
two words in the middle. A silent b or n at the end is after m. The silent l in
yolk, folk, only applies in those two words, and before m in psalm, palm, calm.
Write these words out two or three times.

The n is sounded in the longer word.
