Vocabulary
The pupil should make sure he understands each word. New words, he has to look it up in the dictionary or ask his tutor. Vocabulary-building is especially important for people learning to read English as a second language (E2L) People learn words as spoken words with meaning, (they learn what biology, haunted, launch, mean) they do not learn words as sight-words, flash-cards, not in this programme of regular spellings.
These
are some of the words that the pupil can read after completing the corresponding
step. They can be added to the packs of isit cards, bingo etc used in
activities from that step onwards.
